Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly capable and well-rounded MEP Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on commercial construction projects in the Tysons region. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced project environment.

This role requires providing on-site support at facilities in both Baltimore, MD, and Waynesboro, PA. Travel between these locations is required.

Responsibilities

Project Coordination
  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project operations.
  • Coordinate MEP activities with subcontractors, design teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Track RFI responses, change orders, and field directives.

Technical Support
  • Provide engineering support for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Perform field inspections to verify installation quality and adherence to design intent.
  • Identify constructability issues and propose solutions early in the project lifecycle.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and turnover activities.

Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, logs, and progress reports.
  • Assist with schedule updates, procurement tracking, and cost control efforts.
  • Prepare technical reports, meeting minutes, and coordination summaries.

Quality & Safety
  • Ensure MEP work meets company quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Support site safety initiatives and help enforce compliance with safety protocols.
