Job description
The day-to-dayAs a Project Engineer, you will build integrated solutions for edge-to-cloud connectivity in austere locations. You will epitomize technical excellence by digesting new technology quickly, advising on roadmaps, and leading interdisciplinary teams to solve complex customer challenges. In this role you will:
- Design, develop and test complex networking products while serving as the primary technical resource for interdisciplinary teams and management
- Serve as a technical point of contact for government customers and government regulatory agencies.
- Lead program/event planning dependencies, specifically for customer demos, ensuring thorough preparation to reduce execution risk
- Support Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) scheduling and reporting
- Perform technical design and code reviews while mentoring junior engineers to further team development
What you'll need- 10+ years' hands-on experience with complex system verification
- 5+ years' experience engaging with complex systems that include Hardware/Software integration and a strong knowledge of hardware/software interfaces
- Proven understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, Ethernet protocols, and OSI layers
- Validated experience with C, C#, and Python
- Proficiency in Linux command line with skills to use modern development tools for automation.
- Excellent technical writing skills to generate required customer documents and analyses
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- US Government position. US Citizenship required
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain when administratively feasible
- Ability to travel up to 20% both domestically
