The Project Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating capital projects in the manufacturing facility, including packaging, processing, and utility areas of the facility. This position will lead small, medium, and large-scale projects that will deliver business needs using sound project management, knowledge, and tools.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:

• Acts as Engineering point of contact for facility internal customers:
• Provide technical assistance as required
• Attend facility leadership meetings
• Provides project management and expertise for all capital projects:
• Identifies, creates, and submits necessary documents for CAPEX approval
• Review Capital Projects Contracts
• Create POs (Purchase Orders) for Capital Projects
• Coordinate and lead multi-functional teams within the project
• Track and manage Capital and Project Expense
• Schedules, directs, and inspects the work of contractors/vendors
• Reports on progress and conformance to project work plans
• Manages project schedules, budgets and cashflows
• Demonstrate proficiency for Danone Engineering Standards
• Responds to emergency calls, as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Materials and Equipment Directly Use:

• Office machinery including: computers/tablets, printers, fax machines, copiers, telephones, etc.
• Software including: Microsoft Office including Outlook, SAP, Smartsheets

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations.
• Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.

Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of IWS system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.

The salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $107,000.00 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions. This role is considered a "hybrid" position that allows for flexible work, meaning it is a role where collaboration with key stakeholders in Danone Hubs occurs. While you may have the option to work from home on a schedule as agreed to with your supervisor, you are also expected to regularly report to your assigned office location at least 3 days per week.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we're looking for, including both required and preferred criteria:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from accredited college or university
• 3+ years in project engineering required, CPG beverage/food manufacturing strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to prepare plans and detailed reports and to maintain records.
• Ability to plan and supervise the work of contractors.
• Solid engineering technical base refined with plant experience
• General knowledge of plant operations
• Exposure to ESL/aseptic and food safety regulations - PMO, 3A and FDA
• Exposure to food and beverage packaging & processing equipment
• Ability to analyze, compare, and recommend engineering proposals
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills
