Full Job Description
Position Title: Project Engineer

Location: Irvine, CA

Work Arrangement: On-site

Position Summary:

DZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Project Engineer capable of supporting both on-going and emerging federal defense and commercial contracts. This position requires a person that can both develop process and work within defined procedures, to include government requirements. The successful candidate will have experience interfacing with a wide range of internal disciplines, customers, and active subcontractors. Demonstrated experience in project financials tracking, data and hardware deliverable management, and subcontractor management is desired. The successful candidate will have a background experience in projects in the Government or Defense Contracting Industry.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Primary Role will be working with existing project managers and lead technical engineers to aid in the successful execution of their respective projects:
    • Project financials
    • Project & program deliverables
    • Team task and labor tracking and management
    • Communication of project health and status to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to follow and help execute technical schedules
  • Participate in design reviews and technical meetings
  • Analyze and interpret technical data to inform project decisions
  • Proven ability, capacity, and aptitude with planning, organizing, coordinating technical work, and obtaining cooperation from others


Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 - 5 years of industry experience as directly supporting or leading project execution of design, development, manufacturing, or operations programs
  • Positive, "can-do" attitude and talent/experience leading people and cultivating healthy relationships
  • Pro-active approach to solving problems
  • Work under general direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Skilled in the use of IT tools, including spreadsheets, word processing, planning, and scheduling software.


Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and technicians in defense or aerospace industries
  • Understand, follow, and build operational processes
  • Experience in enterprise resourcing and planning tools
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and internal work groups
  • Experience with CAD software and simulation tools

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Business Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Clearance Level Required: None, security Clearance not required but preferred

Travel Required: Yes, Up to 10% anticipated

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
  • Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.


Export Control / ITAR Requirement:

This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations.

Work Authorization Requirement:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 annually

Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
