Full Job Description
Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in Final Assembly Manufacturing, Ordnance, and/or Assembly, Integration, and Test environments
  • Experience managing projects in a production/manufacturing environment
  • High volume/high-rate production experience
  • Willingness/ability to present to high level customers and LM senior and executive-level leadership
  • Must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Experience in Ramp to Rate, Accelerated Production, and/or Automated Production environments
  • Team Leadership or Project Management Experience of a Multi-Functional/Discipline TeamExperience with defect trend analysis, root cause/corrective actionDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Customers, Engineering, Material, Quality, and other functions, as required
  • Lean Six Sigma / LM21 Certified (Green or Black Belt)
  • Process Improvement ExperienceExperience in financial estimating and planning cost account milestones
  • Experience in, or adjacent to, assembly/manufacturing, manufacturing engineering and/or test engineering, with knowledge of hardware integration and test flows
  • Experience working with SAP, ePDM, CREO, CAMEO, Apriso, VECAMS, PMP Database and/or Lockheed Martin Automation Framework Software, or industry equivalent
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with customer, program management, and team members
  • Familiarity with any of the Lockheed Martin Business Areas (Aeronautics, MFC, RMS, or Space)
  • Scheduling Experience (in manufacturing or similar)


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00

The salary range for this position is as listed on the requisition. Please note that the salary information listed is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market(work location) and business considerations when extending an offer.

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
