Full Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer who excels at coordinating complex engineering activities across multiple disciplines. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of engineering standards and project management practices. This individual is highly organized, safety-focused, and capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule all phases of engineering activities under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Oversee engineering execution across all disciplines to ensure alignment with project scope, specifications, and standards
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, including collection of existing facility design documents and tracking engineering deliverables
  • Plan and coordinate field surveys, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and documentation
  • Lead and document technical meetings, ensuring clear communication among engineering, HSE, maintenance, procurement, construction, and commissioning/qualification teams
  • Coordinate vendor document reviews and approvals with subject matter experts and manage subcontractor RFIs and material submittals
  • Monitor project costs and schedules by reviewing engineering progress reports and ensuring adherence to budget and timelines
  • Support development of technical equipment specifications and participate in bid evaluations for procurement activities
  • Maintain and prioritize the engineering team action item list to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Ensure adherence to global engineering standards and accepted industry practices throughout design and execution phases
  • Verify the application of design quality and coordination processes to maintain technical integrity
  • Provide technical support for field activities, including cost proposals, bid processes, and construction assistance
  • Promote a strong safety culture through field engagement activities, safety reviews, and proactive risk management initiatives
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of record documentation and meeting minutes


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project engineering with a strong understanding of project management processes and engineering standards
  • Knowledge of project controls, cost management, and estimating practices
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and facilitate meetings
  • Experience supporting vendor and subcontractor coordination and review processes
  • Familiarity with design quality, engineering coordination, and industry-standard practices
  • Safety-focused mindset with experience participating in or leading safety reviews and initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or related field preferred)
  • Professional certifications in engineering or project management are a plus
  • Ability to manage complex projects across multiple phases with a high level of organization and attention to detail
