Summary:In this role, you will lead a multi-discipline team of experienced engineers providing support to the Owner for the timely review of Project design engineering deliverables for compliance with specifications, local regulations (utilizing local engineering resources), and scheduling requirements; provide support for the review of design changes and deviations; develop Owner requested reports and analysis; participate in interface and coordination meetings, present engineering oversight and progress updates to Owner and regulatory authorities. This entails a high level of engagement in negotiations, coordination of design deliverables, changes, and issue resolution with external contractors and internal stakeholders.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering
- Project Management certification (PMI; AMA; or equivalent)
- Demonstrated leadership in nuclear projects - new build, operating nuclear plant operations, maintenance, and/or modifications; and the design of plant systems, structures, and/or components
- 15-20 years of experience in providing nuclear power plant engineering services - in NSSS; conventional island; balance of plant systems; and site infrastructure projects; operations and commissioning experience
- Familiarity with IAEA safety standards and INPO/WANO standards for nuclear plant design requirements; as well as applicable design codes - ASME; ANSI; and quality assurance requirements, such as NQA-1
- Prior experience as an Owner's Engineer or equivalent in a regulator-facing design engineering role
- Experience with recent nuclear new build AP1000R or equivalent Generation III+ technologies a BIG plus
