When you join Design Group as a Project Director - AEC, you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world's leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What You'll Do

You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals

  • Lead $100M + design-build projects, and/or multi-project programs from concept to closeout as the single point of accountability to clients and project teams.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions in Food & Beverage, Home & Personal Care, Life Sciences, or Advanced Technology markets.
  • Strengthen and grow relationships with clients (local, regional, national) and all other project stakeholders by establishing and maintaining close alignment on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensure quality and on-time delivery from design and preconstruction through completion.
  • Foster trust, innovation, and continuous improvement using lessons learned and emerging technologies.
  • Support marketing initiatives and identify opportunities to grow projects and identify new business opportunities.


What You'll Bring

  • 15+ years of leadership in large-scale engineering design and construction projects within an AEC consulting environment, with accountability from early design through construction completion.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, resources, and risks in complex project settings.
  • Track record delivering high-quality design-build projects on time and on budget.
  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors: Food & Beverage, Home & Personal Care, Life Sciences, or Advanced Technology, with a strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality.
  • Proficiency in planning, scheduling, documentation, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Adaptive, collaborative leader skilled at building strong relationships and guiding diverse stakeholder groups toward shared goals.
  • Bachelor's in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (required).
  • Contractor Qualifier License(s) or willingness to obtain in multiple states.
  • Ability to travel for project needs, client meetings, and industry events.
