The role

We advise on all aspects of project development and finance across the energy, infrastructure, natural resources and transport sectors. Our work includes advising on project and financing documentation, public-private partnerships, multi-source financings, risk allocation and regulatory matters. We act for sponsors, lenders, governments, contractors and investors on greenfield and brownfield projects worldwide, including projects supporting the energy transition. Working with colleagues in construction, environmental, tax, regulatory and disputes practices, we provide integrated advice from project development through financing and delivery, helping clients manage complexity and deliver projects across multiple jurisdictions.

The Houston office of Clifford Chance seeks finance focused attorneys who have experience in the following areas:
  • US project financing of energy and infrastructure projects
  • Holdco financing of energy and infrastructure projects
  • US tax equity financings of energy and energy transition projects
  • Construction to back-leverage financing; experience with other financing structures involving tax equity/tax credits, is a plus

Your experience

The candidate should have substantial experience negotiating credit agreementsand collateral documents for energy and infrastructure projects. Admission to the Texas bar is required. Seeking associates with 4+ years of experience. Submissions must include a resume and law school transcript(s).

Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. Subject to the candidate's experience, the salary range for this role is $260,000-$435,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
