This Opportunity

WSP Data Centers team is seeking a Project Delivery Associate for the following kW offices: Troy, NY. The Project Delivery Associate is responsible for supporting the Operations Lead and Project Teams to ensure we are meeting all project requirements. They will take a proactive role assisting the Project Manager and project teams in moving the project forward and enhancing communication with the project team and Client and promoting and facilitating integration on the project.

Your Impact

Project Delivery Duties:

  • Coordinate with Project Delivery Partners to:


  • Monitor that appropriate Project Reviews are being conducted in the Business Line


  • Oversee PDs and confirm they are performing their duties


  • Identification of project execution risk


  • Evaluation of Project Manager performance


  • Identification of challenged projects tracking, financial; impacts and corrective action plans


  • Lead work planning and negotiations sessions for key projects.


  • Lead Readiness Reviews for large or high-risk projects


  • Ensure appropriate proactive project reviews are being conducted on high risk/large value/Alternative Delivery projects and any necessary follow up is done


  • Identify projects that are in distress (challenged projects) and provide the oversight necessary to correct the issues


  • Develop recovery teams as necessary to correct unsatisfactory project performance


  • Ensure any needed corrective deficiencies identified in project audits are addressed


  • Provide independent research and contribution to the betterment of Project Operations procedures


  • Serve as functional backup to Operations Lead for any project delivery items and business line functions as needed


Project Coordination Duties:

  • Collaborate with project coordination, leadership and operations to develop new practices.


  • Coordinate with the project team during the proposal process to ensure all deadlines are met and reviews have been completed.


  • Support the project manager with internal communications and follow-up


  • Maintaining project calendar including project deliverables, QC deadlines and publishing to project team.


  • Assist in scheduling internal team meetings, project kick-offs, design reviews, etc


  • Assist in reviewing project financial reports and communicate issues to project team


  • Assist in tracking invoices and project payments.


  • Assist project manager with reviewing deliverables during project deadlines.


  • Ensure projects are meeting all internal compliance requirements


  • Assist the project team in receiving, filing, distributing, processing, tracking due dates and responding to RFI's, submittals and responses.


  • Provide support for editing and formatting of specifications.


  • Assist in preparation of any materials required for project pursuit.


  • Assist in processing contracts and sub-consultant contracts.


  • Attend project, department and team meetings and take meeting notes. Distribute meeting notes internal and externally as required.


  • Assist in generating project financial management reports.


  • Assist in tracking scope changes and updating project budgets accordingly.


Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or relevant field required


  • 3-5 years experience


  • Deadline oriented, ability to track and maintain and meet multiple concurrent deadlines.


  • Excellent verbal, written communication and program solving skills.


  • MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and others.


  • Familiarity with Smartsheet is an advantage.


  • Working knowledge of cloud-based file sharing platforms such as, SharePoint, ShareFile, Newforma, Dropbox, Box, etc. is an advantage.


  • Strong computer and typing skills


  • Self-motivated and flexible to take on new tasks and assist teams.

  • Compensation:
    Expected Salary (all locations): $82,000 - $95,000
  • WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
