Full Job Description
This role will partner with the North American Capital team to provide project controls support and analysis. This position works closely with project managers on budgeting, accruals, forecasting, schedule compliance, variance analysis, and assisting with completion reports. What will you do? • Provide ongoing analytical/finance support to engineering project managers and Site or Area Capital Manager (including fulfilling ad-hoc reporting needs and requests). Ensure compliance with the Mosaic Capital Allocation Policy and SOX audit controls. • Partner with Site or Area Capital team to help facilitate annual Rack & Stack (Capital Budget planning) for next year. • Prepare and submit Project Intake requests for Workflow approval via PowerApps. Assist (as necessary) with the preparation of Project Commitment request documents and their submission into Workflow (route for approval). SharePoint is used for document management. • Facilitate accrual, forecasting, and other review meetings with project engineers/managers. Prepare/submit monthly accrual journal entries for system upload. Calculate and update monthly forecast amounts in SAP Noveco system utilizing applicable WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) lines. Provide monthly actual spend versus forecast variance analysis. Review payments to vendors to ensure accuracy and adherence to the contracts. • Prepare and maintain cost workbooks for applicable large Capital projects. Maintain project schedules in Project Online (POL) system and ensure timely completion of status updates in SAP system. • Partner with procurement to complete and close Purchase Orders. Assist the Closeout Specialist, when necessary, by advising and/or preparing (when time permits) project completion reports (closes out CIP to begin depreciating Fixed Assets). What do you need for this role? • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred) and at least 2 years of job experience in a business-related analyst or associate role. • Or Associate’s / Technical College degree and at least 5 years of job experience (Capital Project Management, Controls, or Administration) in a related analyst or associate role. • Understanding of general accounting and finance principles is a must. • Possess a broad understanding of internal controls and their purpose. • Solid people skills. • Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills. • Ability to work independently and within a team. • Ability to partner with and challenge the business. • Positive, engaged, and willing attitude. • Disciplined with strong organizational skills. • Attention to detail and diligence to meet deadlines. • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business environment. • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. • Experience working with SAP, Fieldglass, and Project Online (POL) is preferred. • Power BI proficiency is a plus. • Excellent presentation skills (ability to get out in front if the need arises) is a plus. • Agriculture Industry knowledge is a plus. • Engineering background is a plus. • English language proficiency is required. Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus. • Must be willing to commute/work in-office and be “available” M-F during core business hours (9a-4p). • Required travel is limited to monthly local site visits or once a year between Florida and Louisiana.
