This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join their Project Controls team. This individual can sit in our WSP locations in either Texas, Utah, Tennessee, or Nevada.

Your Impact
  • Build and maintain program/project schedules; monitor contractor and consultant schedules, identifying cost and scheduling issues and recommending resolutions to the Program Manager.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and financial projections; support earned value management (EVM) tracking and reporting.
  • Track and control project costs, including change management, cost coding, commitments, and accruals across active projects.
  • Monitor schedule performance, critical path changes, and float, coordinating with contractors and consultants to resolve variances.
  • Administer cost management/PMIS platforms (e.g., e-Builder, Procore, or similar); track acquisition packages for reimbursement and support invoice review and processing.
  • Produce regular cost and schedule progress reports for the Program Manager and PMO, ensuring data feeding into Power BI dashboards is accurate and up to date.
  • Support integration of cost and schedule data with Power BI reporting tools, coordinating with reporting/BI staff to ensure dashboards reflect current project data.
  • Support vendor selection, contractor progress tracking, change order management, and project close-out reporting.

Who You Are

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in cost controls and scheduling on large-scale capital projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of earned value management (EVM), cost forecasting, and schedule management practices.
  • PMIS/Scheduling: Experience with PMIS platforms such as e-Builder, Procore, or Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and data reporting concepts sufficient to collaborate with reporting/BI teams and ensure accurate data integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate cost and schedule data into clear updates for project teams and stakeholders.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $130,000-159,000/yr

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
