Full Job Description
HDR is looking for a Project Control Specialist in our Charlotte, Raleigh, or Winston-Salem office. In the role of Project Controls Specialist, we'll count on you to: • Establish work breakdown structure (WBS). • Develop and maintain complex project schedules for various phase of the project. • Coordinate with necessary team members. • Develop and monitor project metrics. • Participate in project coordination meetings. • Conduct project site visits, if applicable. • Conduct schedule baseline and schedule update reviews. • Develop cost estimates. • Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering • A minimum of 5 years' experience in project controls work on engineering and construction projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports, local candidates are preferred • Certifications (one or more): PSP, PMP, PE, CM, EVP, PMI-SP Qualifications Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree • The capability to actively progress knowledge in the areas of: • Oral and written communication skills • Interpersonal and leadership skills • Coordination and prioritization of multiple long and short-term tasks • Organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must • Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
