DescriptionKoch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead project controls for capital projects across multiple sites. This role partners with Project Managers, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and EPC contractors to drive successful project execution from planning through startup and closeout. Key responsibilities include overseeing project controls strategies, improving processes, leveraging data and automation, validating project performance, and communicating results to stakeholders.

What You Will Do In Your Role - Partner with Project Managers, EPCs, and stakeholders to align project controls processes (cost, schedule, progress, change, risk, and reporting) with business and project objectives.
- Provide strategic oversight for EPC project controls, influencing disciplined and profitable application of project controls practices and performance assessment.
- Collaborate with the Project Leaders to develop a project assurance and benchmarking strategy
- Collaborate with EPC and Business Analyst/IT teams to define data integration strategy, requirements and build/validate interfaces for business system utilization, insights and analytics.
- Review and challenge project deliverables including baselines (WBS/CBS, budgets, resource plans, schedules) and ensure alignment with project objectives and execution strategy.
- Leverage a combination of EPC and KAES systems (e.g., EcoSys, P6, Power BI, ERP) to deliver actionable insights, with a bias for leading indicators.
- Communicate variances and drivers to stakeholders with recommended actions.
- Lead and coach a small team of Project Controls specialists
The Experience You Will Bring Requirements: - Experience leading project controls scope (cost, schedule, progress measurement, change, risk, and reporting) for capital/growth projects in an industrial or construction environment.
- Experience working with EPC firms, engineering contractors, and construction contractors to establish and maintain project controls processes, reporting requirements, and performance expectations.
- Experience overseeing and influencing third-party project controls resources to ensure accurate cost, schedule, and progress reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain integrated project controls systems, including forecasting, cost management, scheduling, and performance reporting.
- Experience analyzing project data and performance metrics to identify risks, trends, and key drivers and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% to support project teams, stakeholders, and key project milestones.
What Will Put You Ahead - Experience representing the Owner's interest in applying project controls practices on large growth/capital projects to improve project outcomes.
- Experience with project controls systems and data integrations (e.g., EcoSys, Maximo, Primavera P6, ACC) and translating data into insights.
- Experience defining and validating data between project controls tools and enterprise systems, including data quality checks and reconciliation.
- Advanced experience with analytics and reporting tools such as MS Fabric and/or Power BI.
