HGA is currently seeking to hire aProject Controls Manager is responsible for leading cost, schedule, forecasting, and performance management activities across multiple heavy civil and industrial construction projects.
NOTE: This position is direct with client.
This position partners with project and operations leadership to provide accurate, timely visibility into project performance, identify risks and trends, and support successful execution and financial outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead project controls activities including cost control, scheduling, forecasting, change management, and performance reporting. Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and Estimate at Completion (EAC). Oversee development and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6. Monitor project progress, productivity, commitments, costs, and schedule performance; identify trends and potential risks. Provide regular project performance reporting and analysis to project and executive leadership. Support change order management, claims documentation, and evaluation of cost and schedule impacts. Establish and maintain consistent project controls processes, procedures, and reporting standards across projects. Partner with Project Managers, Estimators, Accounting, and field leadership to ensure accurate cost and schedule information. Lead and develop project controls personnel as the organization and project portfolio grow.
Requirements include but are not limited to:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred. 8-12+ years of project controls experience, preferably within heavy civil, industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale construction.
- Strong experience with cost management, forecasting, scheduling, change management, and project performance analysis.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and project controls/reporting systems.
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects and/or large, complex construction programs.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to present project performance and risks to senior management. Strong understanding of construction operations, cost structures, productivity, and project execution.
