Job Summary

The Project Controls Manager is responsible for managing all project controls activities including planning, cost control, risk management, and reporting across Data Center projects. They ensure that performance metrics reflect the true status of the project, enabling informed decision-making and early corrective actions. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring close coordination with engineering, supply chain, and construction teams to maintain cost and schedule discipline in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the project's integrated baseline covering schedule, cost, and progress measurement
  • Lead the preparation of regular project performance reports including cost forecasts, schedule updates, and variance analyses
  • Ensure accuracy and alignment of data across planning, cost control, and risk management functions
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Engineering to maintain realistic forecasts for procurement and construction deliverables
  • Oversee management of change, ensuring all scope variations are captured, costed, and approved in line with contract requirements
  • Monitor contractor performance and verify reported progress against field data and milestones
  • Support project risk reviews, contingency assessments, and recovery plan development
  • Provide training and guidance to project control engineers and schedulers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement


Qualifications And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field, equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 15+ years of experience in project controls within large-scale construction or industrial projects.
  • Professional certification such as AACE CCP, PSP, or PMI-SP is preferred
  • Experience with Primavera P6 and advanced Excel / Power BI reporting tools is strongly recommended.
  • Strong background in cost control, planning/scheduling, and earned value management.
  • Proven experience in performance reporting and data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary project control teams.
  • Prior experience delivering large-scale data center facilities for major technology clients is highly preferred.
  • Fluency, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
