Description

We are currently looking for a Project Controls Lead to join our team on a Major Infrastructure Project in Vancouver, Canada (on-site position).

-Project:Infrastructure Project (Design Phase)

-Estimated duration of the position: 2 years- In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

-Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead project controls activities on complex major transit or system integration projects, ensuring effective planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Develop and manage collaborative contracting frameworks, including target price development, gainshare/painshare mechanisms, and risk allocation strategies.
  • Implement and oversee earned value (EV) management, cost comparisons, progress measurement, and monthly reporting from day one of the project.
  • Create and maintain Primavera P6 schedules for complex infrastructure projects, ensuring resource- and cost-loaded planning.
  • Develop and manage the project risk register, ensuring alignment with project size and complexity.
  • Prepare QCRA/QSRA assessments to support target price development and decision-making.
  • Implement cost control and change control processes, ensuring compliance with project requirements and open-book cost management.
  • Work with cost management and change control systems, ensuring accurate tracking of incurred costs versus planned schedule and budget.
  • Produce monthly project controls reports, including earned value analysis, cost vs. schedule comparisons, and progress updates.


-Working hours: Monday to Friday- 40 hours weekly.

-Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Control Engineer, including 5 years in a lead project controls role on major transit/ system-integration projects or heavy civil construction projects.
  • Collaborative contracting experience: target price development, gainshare/painshare models, and effective risk allocation.
  • Strong knowledge of EV management, risk analysis, and progress measurement.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage Primavera P6 schedules for complex infrastructure projects.
  • Experience creating and maintaining risk registers for large, complex projects.
  • Ability to perform QCRA/QSRA assessments to support target price development.
  • Experience implementing cost control and change control processes.
  • Skilled in using cost management and change control systems.
  • Certifications: the ideal candidate should have at least one of the following certifications related to project controls /project management:


-Project Schedule Professional (PMISP).

-Project Management Professional (PMP).

-Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP).

-Earned Value Professional (EVP).

-Certificated Cost Professional (CCP).
