What this job involves

The Project Controls Lead establishes and maintains operational excellence across the PMO organization by serving as the cornerstone of quality assurance, process governance, and continuous improvement. This strategic role combines deep expertise in process design with strong analytical capabilities and change management skills to drive consistency, compliance, and performance across all service delivery teams. You'll translate complex operational requirements into clear, actionable frameworks while building organizational capability through comprehensive training and development programs. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can design governance systems, analyze operational data, and lead change initiatives that elevate service delivery quality.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Developing and maintaining governance frameworks, playbooks, and standard operating procedures that guide all service delivery teams
• Generating monthly operational reports, performance analytics, and preparing Quarterly Business Review (QBR) content with process and quality metrics
• Establishing quality standards, measurement methodologies, and control checkpoints to ensure project compliance and excellence
• Leading process design workshops, continuous improvement initiatives, and optimization efforts across the organization
• Designing and delivering comprehensive training programs, onboarding materials, and certification frameworks to build team capability
• Managing change adoption and communication of process updates, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure stakeholder understanding
• Monitoring adherence to governance frameworks, tracking key performance indicators, and facilitating feedback loops between delivery teams and management

Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in project controls, program management, or process improvement roles with demonstrated success in complex organizational environments
• Advanced expertise in process design, documentation, and optimization with proven ability to develop governance frameworks and quality management systems
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in creating dashboards, operational reports, and performance analytics for executive leadership
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change initiatives, including change adoption strategies and stakeholder engagement
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs
• Professional certification in Project Management (PMP), Process Improvement (Lean Six Sigma), or Change Management (Prosci)
• Exceptional attention to detail in quality control, compliance monitoring, and translating complex processes into clear, actionable documentation

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in professional services, real estate, or corporate facilities management environments
• Background in quality assurance methodologies such as ISO standards or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira) and quality management systems
• Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops and meetings with ability to influence without direct authority
• Track record of managing resistance to change and driving process compliance across diverse teams
• Experience working with executive leadership and preparing strategic presentations for business reviews
