Full Job Description
The Role

We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for large-scale infrastructure and utility projects. This role is similar to positions such as Financial Analyst - Capital Projects, Financial Analyst, Project Cost Analyst, and Project Controls Analyst.

What Your Day Will Look Like:
  • Partner with 5-6 project managers to support projects at various stages of design and construction.
  • Develop, maintain, and update cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and quality checks on all project controls deliverables.
  • Compare schedules to financial data to verify project timelines align.
  • Integrate and analyze data in Excel using formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.
  • Review upstream/downstream change orders and track budgets against POs and subcontracts.
  • Translate cost, schedule, and contract data into actionable insights to support project decision-making across multiple capital projects.
  • Serve as the PM-facing project controls partner and primary point of contact for cost reporting, forecasting, commitments, and change management questions, providing technical guidance to APMs, PMs, Lead Engineers, and Construction staff.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of project controls deliverables through structured quality checks and reporting standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
