Gilbane is seeking a Project Controller to lead all financial administration and fiscal management aspects of a mega project, or multiple large/mid-size projects while ensuring all team members are following Gilbane financial policies and procedures and communicating any potential profitability or risks to leadership. This role offers the opportunity to work in Massachusetts and across the country with regular travel to Federal project sites.

• Trains and supports project teams in all project accounting procedures
• Supervises and trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks; manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards
• Ensures accuracy and completion of project forecast
• Assists in the financial closing process including development of risk and opportunity analysis
• Works and acts as an Independent Accountant during project forecast meetings to mitigate financial risk
• Evaluates change management for inconsistencies and risk impacts on projects
• Monitors key indicators for managing and analyzing risk projects while keeping Accounting Manager and/or Business Controller informed on any noted concerns
• Assists the Accounting Manager or Business Controller with monthly Work in Process (WIP)
• Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
• Travel to project sites at least quarterly
• Aids in communicating company
• Travel to project sites at least quarterly
• Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports 
• Other ad-hoc support as needed 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 8-10 years of experience project accounting experience on commercial and/or Federal construction projects valued at $100M or larger 
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Close attention to detail
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and construction accounting preferred
• Experience with Procore, LCPTracker, Textura and CMiC is preferred

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

For (Massachusetts) this ranges from $111,000-$169,800 plus benefits and retirement program.
