This role will be located at our headquarters facility located in Johnston, Rhode Island. This is an office-based position with flexibility to work remotely depending on business needs.

About The Job

The Project & Platform Specialist independently manages small to medium-scale projects and supports the administration, configuration and enablement of the organization's portfolio and project management platform. The role partners with teams and stakeholders to deliver key projects, standardize ways of working, and ensure effective planning, tracking, and reporting. Depending on assignment, this role focuses primarily on project delivery, platform administration and enablement, or a blend of both. When focused on platform administration and enablement, this role operates at the enterprise level - supporting platform standards and adoption across the organization - or within a specific department, supporting localized workflows, reporting, and ways of working.

Project Leadership and Delivery: Act as Project Manager for small to medium-scale projects; partner with business leads, program managers, teams, subject matter experts and portfolio managers; establish structure; lead the project team; coordinate dependencies; manage risks; communicate status; and orchestrate successful and timely execution on stated objectives.

Platform Enablement and Adoption: Lead the onboarding, training, and enablement of teams and individuals onto the platform; drive adoption of standardized practices; coach and support end-users on how to set up, use, and maintain their work to standard; monitor adoption and data quality and flag gaps to leaders; and design and deliver reporting that translates platform data into actionable insights.

Platform Administration and Configuration: Administer the portfolio and project management platform at the enterprise or group level; manage platform structures, access, and governance processes; ensure the quality, hygiene, and consistency of how work is set up and maintained across projects and programs; configure templates, forms, workflows, dashboard; build and maintain platform automations, integrations, and advanced configurations; and recommend improvements that strengthen how systems is operating.

Continuous Improvement: Champion project management and platform standards and best practices across the organization. Participate in activities to continuously improve project management and platform standards and best practices across the organization. Serve as a resource to individuals looking to learn and practice project management within FM.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in project management roles with a successful track record of independently delivering projects

2+ years of experience configuring and administering a portfolio and project management platform (i.e. Workfront) preferred

Experience supporting platform adoption, team onboarding, and end-user enablement a plus!

Detail-oriented: Takes pride in accuracy, consistency, and quality - whether in project documentation, platform data, or how work is captured and maintained. Notices what others miss.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Project management qualifications (e.g., PMP certification) a plus.

Platform-specific certifications a plus

The hiring range for this position is $106,000- $152,000. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience. The position is eligible to participate in FM's comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, medical, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, and time off, including vacation and sick time.
