The Opportunity Siemens Mobility, Railway Infrastructure, is seeking a Project Administration Operator to join our team in Oakville, Ontario. This 100% on-site role will support our project with Metrolinx and work closely with the Field Service team. The position is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the management of employee timesheet administration, support Environment Health & Safety, demonstrate excellent communication skills, written and verbal, good receipting of purchases, and perform general administrative tasks. In this position, you will gain exposure into the railway industry and railway maintenance. This is a 6-month contract with the potential to become a permanent full-time position.
What will you need to succeed?- Diploma, certificate, or degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, Human Resources, Project Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative, payroll, workforce coordination, or project support role.
- Experience supporting payroll processing, time entry, employee records, and responding to payroll and HR-related inquiries.
- Experience coordinating employee training, maintaining certification records, and supporting compliance reporting.
- Familiarity with onboarding and offboarding activities, including equipment coordination, employee documentation, and access management.
- Knowledge of payroll systems, workforce tracking tools, and HR platforms such as Workday, SAP, Fiori, or similar systems is an asset.
- Experience supporting union remittances, pension administration, and workforce reporting is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems or work order processing is an asset.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, unions, and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and accountability when handling confidential employee and operational information.
- Experience in railway, construction, industrial, or field-based environments is considered an asset.
- Willingness to work fully on-site in Oakville, Ontario, with occasional travel to nearby project locations.
Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $80,000 CAD - 110,000 CAD, excluding bonus and benefits.
