Position Title: Inventory Management Specialist
Location: Peachtree Corners, GA (Remote)
The Inventory Management Specialist will be responsible for establishing and managing inventory control processes for customer and Siemens-owned inventory stored across multiple third-party logistics (3PL) providers, manufacturing locations, and deployment sites.
This role will bring visibility, structure, and accountability to a growing inventory network that supports large-scale customer programs. The specialist will partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Logistics, Program Management, Planning, Finance, and external providers to improve inventory accuracy, reduce risk, and create scalable processes that support continued business growth.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can navigate ambiguity, develop processes, and coordinate multiple stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
You will make an impact with the following responsibilities: Inventory Management & Control - Establish accurate visibility of inventory quantities, ownership, locations, and deployment status.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Logistics, Planning, Project Management, Finance, and Customer teams to support inventory-related activities.
- Maintain inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting processes across multiple storage facilities and customer programs.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, damaged material, and missing inventory.
- Develop inventory governance processes to improve accountability and traceability.
Process Development & Improvement - Document existing inventory workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement standardized inventory management processes across the organization.
- Create procedures for receiving storage, deployment, auditing, and inventory reconciliation.
Third-Party Logistics Coordination - Serve as a key point of contact for external storage and logistics providers.
- Coordinate inventory movements, storage requirements, and operational execution with 3PL partners.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish scalable solutions for future inventory growth.
Reporting & Analytics - Develop and maintain inventory dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting.
- Analyze inventory trends and identify opportunities to improve inventory utilization and reduce risk.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support business decisions and operational planning.
Success in This Role - Improved visibility and control of externally stored inventory.
- Reduction in inventory discrepancies, losses, and deployment delays.
- Standardized inventory processes across customers and storage locations.

- Strong stakeholder alignment and inventory ownership across the business.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business or Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing operations, or related disciplines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing or improving business processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar reporting tools.
- Knowledge of inventory auditing, reconciliation, and inventory control practices.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.

The pay range for this position is $66,973 - $114,811.The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
