Job Description
This position requires Final Secret to start with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) will assist with an Industrial Security program encompassing classified and/or proprietary materials, documents, employee clearances and classified equipment.
Responsibilities include:
- Develops, administers and audits security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and export controlled data.
- Develops and executes security programs associated with the protection of proprietary information in compliance with corporate policies.
- Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company compliance and contract execution as set forth in DOD security manuals (NISPOM).
- Works closely with U. S. Government customers to seek contract execution approvals and seeks security rulings or deviations.
- Provides support in managing the quality, schedule and cost expectations associated with program development and execution, while maintaining the fundamental security requirements defined by the customer/company and program.
- Prepares implementation manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to classified materials.
- Develops and conducts security education classes.
- Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
- Applies business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges, and communicates observations and recommendations to leadership and enterprise business partners.
- Processes clearances and customer visits and provides support for classified meetings.
- Prepares, tracks and manages DD Form 254s Contract Security Classification Specification.
- Some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications
- Final Secret to start with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Knowledge of the DoD 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule).
- Experience with DISS, NISS and other government regulations.
Desired skills
- Working knowledge of DISS, SIMS, and LM Corporate Security Tools.
- Experience creating, preparing, and delivering security-related briefings.
- Prior experience as an Facility Security Officer.
Candidate must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ability to articulate and present intelligent, decisive and risk-managed security recommendations and decisions on a daily basis is essential. Experience with SIMS, DISS, DD Form 254s and eQip. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision and be a team player. Knowledge and experience implementing the National Industrial Security Program Operation Manual (NISPOM) and other government security directives.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $69,900 - $123,280. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $80,400 - $139,380. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
