Overview

Department 411 – Life Cycle Support Programs

Life Cycle Support Programs is the program office for the Hull Planning Yard. In this capacity we are responsible for administering both the OMNIBUS and Spare Parts BOA contracts that provide life cycle support for all active-duty submarine classes. We oversee tasking to design system updates and upgrades, maintain configuration control, provide Integrated Logistics Support documentation, kit and manufacture shipboard alteration packages as well as deliver spare parts to the naval supply system.

 

Role Overview As a D411 Fleet Material Program Representative, you will manage a variety of tasks associated with material support for Ship Alterations. This cross-functional role collaborates with Materials Management, Finance, Contracts, Engineering, Washington Engineering Office (WEO), related Program Office roles, as well as SUPSHIP and NAVSEA.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Balance project budgets and generate financial metrics

· Strategic planning of tasking to ensure material meets install need dates

· Utilize ARTEMIS to track cost and schedule progress

· Act as a liaison with internal stakeholders and external customers

 

· Occasional travel may be required, including Washington Engineering Office in Washington DC, vendor locations, and off-site EB locations

The successful candidate for this position must possess strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and project management skills. This individual must have the ability to communicate professionally, developing and maintaining an excellent relationship with EB management and the customer.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of related experience in financial management, contract management, procurement, planning, or logistics. 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in project management

Preferred:

 

  • Advanced degree
  • 2+ years of experience working with Navy or DoD Contracts
  • EVMS knowledge that supports Project Management
  • Working experience with management tools, such as ARTEMIS, JIRA, Team Center, SPARS, etc.

  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and willingness to learn
