Job Description
Lockheed Martin (LM) Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a Quality Engineer (QE) for a position based out of Orlando, FL. This program is a fast-paced development environment requiring technical acumen and critical thinking.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
• Supports Integrated Product Teams and various production sites with reviews of quality data on failures, yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging.
• Ability to analyze and resolve design, manufacturing, and process issues varying from basic to very complex and technically challenging.
• Attending program corrective action meetings, identifying trends, assisting in problem resolution and ensuring responsible parties meet requirements and commitments.
• Participating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
• Performing assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001 / AS9100.
• Evaluating the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.
• Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues.
• Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
• Making the final decision on acceptability of product.
• Supporting Quality operations within a Lab Environment in which products are being manufactured, tested, and delivered to end customers.

This position will require 25% - 50% travel.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications
STEM degree at the bachelors level or higher, preferably in a Technical, Industrial or Quality Assurance related field or equivalent experience/education
Must be able obtain a Secret level security clearance
Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products
An understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods
Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics
Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
Experience in dispositioning of non-conforming products
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
Ability to travel 25%-50%
Desired skills
Awareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Demonstrated team leadership skills
Customer Relationship Management skills
Experience working with Government customers
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated presentation skills
Effective interpersonal skills including team building and collaboration
Effective communication skills including written, oral, listening and technical writing
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $93,800 - $162,610. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
