Responsibilities

  • Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to create sourcing strategies
  • Build collaborative relationships across the business to adapt engagement models

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Primary interface between Program Teams and Purchasing/Supply-Chain to ensure seamless communication, focus, decision making, and collaboration through the program phases
  • Actively participate in Customer RFP response development, including costing inputs for products/services; collaborate with internal teams to ensure IDEMIA has the appropriate supply chain in place to deliver each program
  • Accountable to ensure program costs (hardware, services, etc.) are delivered at/below business case level to ensure successful financial performance of each program. Ensure detailed BOM level tracking of costs and cost evolution over time.
  • Provide standardized process and documentation for all program tracking and execution from the purchasing and supply chain teams
  • Support category managers in negotiating moderate to highly complex contracts, amendments, addenda, SOWs, and project statements to ensure flowdown and alignment between customer and supplier contracts.
  • Liaison between Program Teams and Purchasing/Supply-Chain teams on all bidder communications, negotiations, and required meetings.
  • Review vendor proposals, pricing, and terms and conditions. Liaise with Legal for legal issues, while fostering a collaborative business relationship.
  • Advise management of contractual rights obligations and risks. Ensure ethical process and approach is utilized during all contract negotiations.
  • Perform or support request for proposals, competitive bids, market analysis, and supplier evaluations. Engage with teams to Construct and develop logical sourcing strategies and fact-based options.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with the business. Maintain high level understanding of business and project alignments. Secure and adapt engagement models based on business level requirements.
  • Develop and implement program purchasing KPIs.


ORGANIZATION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The position demands extensive teamwork with IDEMIA contacts located in multiple sites across North America. This individual must be an effective communicator who can add value to the IDEMIA sourcing and supplier management. This individual must be proactive, innovative, and autonomous.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, procurement, or similar field
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in purchasing
  • Previous purchasing experience in an international environment
  • Ability to develop internal and external relationships with a high degree of integrity
  • Commercial acumen
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making, and negotiating skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong e-sourcing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Results oriented with ability to function in a multi-cultural team environment, experience in working in a remote and distributed environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making, and negotiating skills
  • Result oriented, ability to manage multiple projects while effectively meeting deadlines
  • Fluency in English
  • Proven experience evolving in a complex environment and in implementing robust strategies and processes, can do' attitude
