This Job Announcement will remain open until a sufficient number of applications are received.General DescriptionThe Broward County Aviation Department which manages the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and North Perry Airport (HWO - a general aviation facility) is seeking a motivated and experienced professional for the position of Program/Project Coordinator, Senior.
This position will be responsible for the management of the Capital Improvement Program process, FDOT/FAA Grant reporting, capital project updates including budget and scheduling, financial liaison to several agencies, performance measures updates, analyzing the program/project cost tracking initiatives, and developing and implementing procedures for the Airport program/projects for the County.
The purpose of this class within the organization is to administer large-scale programs and/or projects that have County-wide impact.
This position works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsRequires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration or closely related field.
(One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)Requires four (4) years of experience in a staff or administrative capacity managing special projects, programs or business operations appropriate to the area of assignment or closely related experience. A few areas of assignment will include developing and monitoring the programs budget and managing cost controls; assisting with administrative and financial responsibilities involving the capital budgetary processes of the airport; assisting with the preparation of the department budget; ensuring contractual procedures are followed and maintained; developing, monitoring, and updating the Capital Improvement Program to ensure the program budgets, schedules, and goals are achieved.
