Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to support our Electromagnetic Systems (EMS) organization in Englewood, CO. This position is responsible for overseeing facility operations, maintenance activities, infrastructure reliability, vendor management, and workplace services to support business operations safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance operations, and facility management practices within commercial, industrial, laboratory, or manufacturing environments. This role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage day-to-day facility operations, maintenance activities, and building infrastructure.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, and mechanical systems.
- Lead facility technicians and coordinate work performed by contractors and service providers.
- Monitor facility performance and respond to operational issues, emergencies, and customer requests.
- Manage maintenance work orders, asset tracking, and preventive maintenance schedules using CMMS platforms such as SAP.
- Support capital improvement projects, facility renovations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Develop scopes of work (SOW), review proposals, and manage vendor contracts and service agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, OSHA requirements, and applicable building codes.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and workplace safety.
- Manage facility operating budgets, maintenance expenditures, and service contracts.
- Support space planning, furniture moves, and workplace modifications as needed.
- Coordinate facility access, security support, and contractor activities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support operational requirements and business objectives.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support emergency response planning and business continuity efforts.
- Assist with energy management and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain facility documentation, maintenance records, and compliance reports.
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications- Typically requires a Bachelors or Masters in business administration, finance, or a related field, along with eleven or more years of progressive project administration experience with at least five of the years in an engineering or scientific environment. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Strong leadership, communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills are also required as well as the ability to interpret and explain unusually complex information.
- Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment.
- Must demonstrate detailed and extensive expertise in project planning and scheduling, as well as monitoring and reporting on these activities.
- Direct experience with construction/tenant improvement, equipment/facility integration required.
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Project required.
- Experience utilizing SAP, CMMS, Procore, Bluebeam, CAD, Revit is highly desirable.
- We must also be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance is maybe required.
