Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has 2 openings for a F-35 Planning & Integration Manager 2 & F-35 Master Planning Manager 2(Manager Program Planning 2) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals within our F-35 organization. This leadership role is located onsite in Redondo Beach, California.

These leadership positions offer an exciting opportunity to be part of the Master planning team and to oversee day-to-day operations of schedule plans and artifacts as well as integration and planning of Major A/B Contract Change Requests and proposals across all operating units (OU's).

Responsibilities:

Planning & Integration Manager:
  • Lead and integrate all planning activities serving the Air Systems Integration and Proposal Management teams
  • Coordinating across all planning teams including Program Planning & Scheduling, Production Master Scheduling, GSC Advanced Planning, Operations, Labor, and Material Planning.
  • Schedule alignment between support functions with program priorities to deliver timely, accurate proposal plan schedules.
  • Partner with Air Systems Integration and proposal teams to resolve proposal issues, ensuring timely closure of tasks in support of program milestones and identification of risks
  • Provide clear guidance on schedule requirement changes to support comprehensive CR and proposal schedules
  • Establish and maintain planning artifacts including GR&As, lead times, funding requirements, master schedules, second-source BAM, and other materials required for Major A/B CRs and proposals.
  • Ensure proper CR schedule integration, BOM reconciliation, and SOW estimation for all major proposals.
  • Drive development and approval of CR/proposal packages and ensure seamless transition to the MPI Master Planning team for execution.


Master Planning Manager:
  • Lead and manage master schedule baselines for all F-35 Operating Units, ensuring alignment with approved Change Requests (CRs) and major proposals.
  • Oversee integration of changes and proposals prior to acceptance of contractual schedules.
  • Coordinate and validate RPO acceptance, ensuring SAP requirements are properly loaded per BIR-approved packages.
  • Provide execution visibility and Line of Balance (LOB) metrics for critical and high-risk parts.
  • Develop and release Basic Assumptions Memorandums (BAMs) as required; communicate updates and changes to the broader program team.
  • Maintain second-source BAMs, program-approved sourcing strategies, and Block Point Change schedules.
  • Manage cross-functional support to ensure complete and accurate schedule change requests are prepared for program leadership approval.
  • Collaborate with the customer and internal stakeholders to review and approve baseline updates.
  • Interpret Statement of Work (SOW), assess risks and issues, establish priorities, and drive resolution through planning and functional teams.
  • Partner with program leadership and the customer to resolve issues, enhance planning processes, and identify schedule improvement opportunities.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience as defined below, OR a Master's degree and 6 years of related experience as defined below
  • Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, scheduling and planning, quality, program management, business management, global supply chain, engineering, contracts management, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions
  • Must be able to travel 10% of the time as determined by the Company to meet its business needs


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM field
  • 4 years experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
  • SQL, Power BI, or Tableau experience
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Program execution and Functional Management Experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Microsoft Project


Primary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
