Full Job Description
The Program Manager will provide high-level acquisition and policy support across a diverse portfolio, ensuring alignment of acquisitions, manpower, and funding with Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force, and Space Force priorities. The role requires the ability to coordinate at the PEO level, deliver executive communications, and manage cross-cutting directives and taskers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategic Acquisition Support
    • Oversee portfolio alignment of acquisition strategies, documentation, manpower, and funding.
    • Review program documents for policy adherence and assess realism in cost, schedule, and performance baselines.
    • Recommend executable options that improve acquisition efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Policy and Governance Integration
    • Develop and enforce standardized processes, policy implementation guides, charters, and instructions.
    • Synthesize policies into actionable guidance for SSC leadership and cross-functional teams.
    • Lead coordination of milestone reviews, readiness assessments, and senior decision forums.
  • Executive Communications
    • Draft and deliver strategic briefings, speeches, testimony, position papers, and executive reports.
    • Support media messaging and public release preparation in coordination with SSC and DoD leadership.
    • Ensure leadership is equipped with background materials for ceremonies, conferences, and senior-level engagements.
  • Task Management and Coordination
    • Orchestrate Directorate and PEO-level taskers, ensuring timely, accurate responses across multiple stakeholders.
    • Track suspense items, action items, and responses through closure, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
    • Consolidate and quality-control inputs for senior leadership review and submission.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of program or project management experience in defense acquisition or related federal programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in acquisition policy, lifecycle management, and portfolio integration.
  • Strong executive communication skills, with experience preparing senior-level briefings, speeches, and reports.
  • Proven ability to manage high-visibility taskers and synthesize input across multiple organizations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, MS Project, and collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • PMP or DAWIA Program Management certification highly desirable.
  • Prior experience supporting Space Force, Air Force, or DoD acquisition leadership at the PEO or HQ level.

Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Current DoD TS/SCI clearance

Work Location / Schedule:
  • This position is hybrid, with regular onsite presence at Los Angeles AFB combined with telework flexibility.
