Full Job Description
Summary:

The Program Mgr leads the training programs in Radiation Therapy and Medical Dosimetry. The overall goal of the position is to maintain the educational

experience of students in both the Radiation Therapy and Medical Dosimetry programs, and support and maintain the ongoing JRCERT accreditation of each

program. The Program Mgr will assume the leadership role in the continued assessment and development of the program.

Responsibilities:
• Assure effective program operations, via participation in budget planning and didactic and/or clinical instruction, as appropriate.
• Responsible for annual assessment of the program's handbooks and outcomes assessment, and for making required updates to the program to ensure all students' excellent educational opportunities.
• Responsible for the administrative requirements necessary to maintain compliance with, and accreditation under, JRCERT for both radiation therapy & medical dosimetry training programs. This includes tasks such as: - compliance with all JRCERT standards as they relate to each program; - ongoing review of programmatic curricula, with any associated necessary revisions; - accreditation preparation, reporting, and record-keeping; - ensure the program outcomes and requirements are met; - work with clinical and didactic faculty and staff as necessary to ensure their compliance with program regulations; - work in a rapid-paced environment, and make necessary changes as-needed to ensure safety and quality.
• Secure appropriate documentation and/or renew contracts from clinical education affiliations.
• Enforce guidelines in the student handbook.
• Attend scheduled faculty, department, and committee meetings as assigned.

Education Requirements:
• • Masters Of Science degree in a technical science, engineering, or related discipline
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
• • Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) • Certified as a CMD • Certified in Radiation Therapy by the American Registry of Radiologic Therapists (ARRT)
Professional Experience Requirements:
• Three (3) years' clinical experience in the professional discipline.
• Two (2) years' documented experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
• • Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising. • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral). • Use of interpersonal communication to establish and maintain positive and professional interactions with staff as well as effective student-teacher relationships. • Detail oriented and prioritizes tasks to multi-task effectively. • Proficiency in problem resolution and critical decision making. • Proficiency in general computer use, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint. Maintains email etiquette.
• Physical Requirements: • Extensive use of hands/wrists for keyboarding. • Must be able to reach overhead and bend to access supplies, equipment, etc. • Lift up to 50 lbs.
