Summary

You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the ACQUISITION GROUP, PROGRAM MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV supporting PMA-209.

Duties

Help

  • You will manage and support the team to achieve program technical, cost and schedule objectives.
  • You will develop and coordinate all required program acquisition documentation and briefings, and ensure all program requirements and milestones are communicated and coordinated with program leadership.
  • You will interface with resource sponsors in developing and defending requirements and program budgets.
  • You will analyze information necessary for development of specific objectives for assigned program initiatives and for planning.
  • You will identify program office and other discipline area support needed to meet assigned program requirements.
  • You will direct the development of comprehensive program plans to ensure fulfillment of technical, cost schedule and performance objectives.
  • You will advise higher-level officials of program status and problems that require resolution.
  • You will evaluate program documentation to ensure that needs of the program are consistent with sound business practices and the degree of risk involved.
  • You will synthesize critical management issues, documentation and relevant information to support program reviews.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DA-05 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; and 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
