Program Manager, Peer to Peer
Job Summary

As the Program Manager for Peer to Peer (P2P) at Platform Calgary, you will lead the strategy, execution, and scaling of a high-impact program that supports the full spectrum of our membership, from early-stage founders to C-suite leaders of scaling companies. Reporting to the VP of Programming & Innovation, you will be responsible for building Calgary into a global hub for innovation by managing complex funding streams (RIN and Scale AB) and fostering a collaborative environment for professional development across the tech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute a tiered cohort model that supports startups and scaleups, ensuring alignment with RIN and Scale AB funding requirements.
  • Lead outreach, scouting, and onboarding strategies to recruit participants from the Platform membership and alumni networks.
  • Manage program operations, including facilitator recruitment, budget oversight, and the implementation of AI and automation to scale processes.
  • Track and report program outcomes and KPIs (revenue growth, investment, jobs created) to satisfy stakeholder and funder metrics.
  • Maintain funder compliance and stakeholder relationships, acting as a liaison between founders, partners, and internal teams.
  • Champion IDEA initiatives and contribute to the strategic growth of the Calgary innovation ecosystem.
Position Qualifications

Must demonstrate:
  • 5-7 years of experience in program management, startup operations, or related ecosystem support roles.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Policy, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Program development experience, or experience as a startup founder or early team member; ideally having run programs, coached startups, or been an entrepreneur.
  • Project management experience - coordinating many moving pieces while keeping an eye on outcomes and staying within budget.
  • Experience designing or segmenting programs across audience stages (early-stage founders through growth-stage / C-suite leaders).
  • Comfort with grant compliance and reporting across multiple funders, including tracking eligibility and outcomes by segment.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholder groups including government, venture capital, angel investors, ecosystem partners and startups.
  • Strong background in facilitation of larger groups and building communities based on empathy and inclusion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with teammates, founders, partners, members and others in the tech ecosystem.
  • Competency in G-Suite, Asana, Slack, Eventbrite, HubSpot and Notion considered an asset.
