Summary:

The Program Manager provides program and project management support to DOJ/BOP facilities stakeholders for geographically dispersed, primarily remote work assignments. The role coordinates contractor task execution, integrates schedules and deliverables, and provides reporting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination to enable informed Government decision-making. The Program Manager serves as the primary contractor point of contact and manages contractor personnel supporting this effort.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serve as the primary contractor point of contact for day-to-day coordination with Government stakeholders.
  • Plan, manage, and track contractor performance across multiple workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of contract deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain contractor project artifacts (e.g., work plans, schedules, risk and issue logs, action item trackers) for Government review and approval.
  • Coordinate internal contractor resources (engineering, architecture, mechanical, logistics) to support Government priorities and timelines.
  • Facilitate meetings (agenda development, minutes, action items) and maintain documentation repositories and status dashboards.
  • Collect and analyze program data (schedule, cost, performance metrics) and provide reports and briefings to support Government oversight.
  • Support facilities assessments and project planning by coordinating site information collection, document reviews, and technical inputs from subject matter experts.
  • Identify risks and constraints; develop mitigation options and recommendations for Government consideration.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with common project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent scheduling tools, Excel, Word, Teams/SharePoint).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education Requirement: College degree OR High School Diploma AND 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible facilities program/project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Federal facilities programs, construction/renovation projects, or facilities operations and maintenance.
  • Primarily remote work with occasional travel to DOJ/BOP sites and/or meetings; availability during core business hours in the applicable time zone(s) is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOJ/BOP suitability, background investigation, and facility access as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting correctional facilities, justice-sector facilities programs, or other high-security environments.

 

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000 annually.
