THE OPPORTUNITY:
At UNC Executive Development, we take great pride in the design and delivery of our programs, providing business leaders with the space to learn and grow professionally and personally. As a key member of the program and operations team, the Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of program management and delivery in Chapel Hill, other US locations, global program locations, as well as virtual programming. This individual serves as a primary customer interface with high-level corporate executive participants and manages all operational components of program delivery.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform on-site, virtual, and/or hybrid program delivery management for Executive Development clients and participants
- Manage multiple programs being delivered consecutively using strong project management skills
- Collaborate with the internal program and operations team to meet deadlines and effectively deliver high-quality programming
- Establish and maintain excellent, professional working relationships with clients and program participants with a service-first mindset that we call the Carolina Experience
- Coordinate with program faculty and Portfolio Directors to drive the planning process before, after and during program deliveries
- Set timelines for faculty and keep them informed about important client details
- Work closely with service providers to ensure program operations run smoothly and efficiently
- Contract and negotiate with appropriate suppliers to obtain meeting space, lodging, meals, and program materials
- Manage accounts payables and receivables and track program expenses to stay within an established budget
- Prepare and provide participants with high-quality program materials in formats consistent with Kenan-Flagler and UNC brand standards
- Develop program websites for use in distributing program information, including logistics and materials, and communicate with participants and company officials to provide instructions concerning their participation
- Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement and determine appropriate solutions for program delivery
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate will have strong customer service orientation, excellent attention to detail, strong project management, organizational, and communication skills. Experience working with global clients and direct report management a plus. Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desired. Experience in event management, corporate customer service, virtual learning platforms, and training and development preferred. Minimum qualifications include an undergraduate degree and three years of administrative experience or equivalent experience in a related area.
This role will work closely with their program and operations team. If desired, this position offers potential for upward mobility and growth pathways within operations and/or program design.

Job Type: Full-time
FLSA Status: Salaried, Non-exempt
Work Arrangement:- Primarily on-site, in person, with some opportunity for remote work dependent upon program delivery schedule and office-specific task completion
- Some overtime required, including evening and weekend work during program deliveries
- Must be within commuting distance to office
- Potential domestic and international travel (up to 25% of time)
