Program Manager, Healthcare
Position SummaryThe Program Manager, Healthcare is responsible for leading the implementation and ongoing success of KBS's healthcare service programs, ensuring successful startup, operational readiness, and standardized execution across new and expanding accounts. This role bridges program design and field execution, with accountability for transition outcomes, service delivery consistency, and workforce readiness.
The position functions as the central program lead during the implementation and ongoing operational lifecycle, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, validation, and execution of a repeatable healthcare operating model. The role directly supports closing gaps in standardization, compliance, and cross-functional accountability by ensuring services are implemented in alignment with defined standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Plans, develops, implements, manages, and maintains KBS's healthcare program to reach short- and long-term goals
• Lead end-to-end execution for healthcare services, from kickoff through stabilization and ongoing operations
• Serve as the primary owner of service implementation outcomes, including readiness, timelines, service delivery, and ongoing performance
• Coordinate and direct seconded field managers and site leadership during the transition phase and initial operational phase
• Translate contract scope into a defined service delivery model, ensuring alignment with scope of work and operational requirements
• Implement standardized service models, SOPs, workflows, and service expectations aligned with healthcare environments
• Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific standards, including infection control practices, regulatory expectations and reporting requirement, and audit readiness
• Partner with cross-functional teams to validate scope, staffing models, equipment needs, and service assumptions prior to and during transition
• Support and ensure delivery of structured training programs for site teams to drive service consistency and readiness
• Oversee workforce readiness in partnership with staffing teams, including recruitment, onboarding, badging, credentialing, and vaccination requirements
• Ensure staffing levels align with labor models and ramp plans to support successful service delivery at go-live
• Identify, escalate, and resolve risks related to staffing, service delivery, compliance, and client expectations
• Drive alignment across Sales, Strategic Account Management, Operations, Staffing, and Compliance to ensure upstream decisions are validated and executable at the site level
• Establish and manage detailed transition plans, including timelines, milestones, and ownership across stakeholders
• Monitor transition progress and early-stage performance against defined KPIs and service expectations
• Communicates the monthly or quarterly progress of programs to internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on work progress, obstacles, and overall performance.
• Looks for ways to improve inefficient processes, identifies opportunities for additional products and services, and assists Marketing and Sales and Strategic Accounts with new proposals

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Knowledge
• Knowledge of healthcare janitorial or environmental services operations within clinical and non-clinical settings
• Understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA, CMS, Joint Commission awareness preferred)
• Knowledge of multi-site service delivery models, transition management, and program standardization approaches
• Familiarity with workforce onboarding, credentialing, and compliance requirements in healthcare environments

Educational Qualifications/Job Experience Requirements Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in healthcare environmental services, janitorial operations, or related field
• Experience supporting multi-site healthcare environments, including hospitals or clinical settings preferred
• Experience leading or supporting transitions, implementations, or program rollouts
• Proven ability to build or implement standardized processes, SOPs, and service models
• Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Staffing, Sales, and other key stakeholders
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Schedule:
• Regular weekly schedule; weekends or holidays as needed.
Physical requirements:
• Extended periods of work seated at a desk; repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to speak clearly (use of voice).
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, moderate peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Environment:
• Office environment generally mild to moderate conditions including varying temperatures and noise levels conducive to a busy workplace and office equipment.
• Lighting varies based on building requirements and may be adjusted within reason.
• Time constraints and related pressures to complete work are high.
Travel: 30 %
