Summary of PositionThe Extended Health Team Program Manager reports to the Director, Network Services and collaborates with the PCN's medical leads, family physicians, nurse practitioners, clinic staff and external stakeholders. The Program Manager is responsible for operational leadership, development and evaluation of service delivery and plays an integral role in ensuring Calgary Foothills PCN delivers high quality and innovative programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey aspects of the position may include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in business,visionand strategic planning, ensuring alignment with the organization aims of improving health outcomes and patient experience in an integrated system of primary health care
- Manage the daily operations of the clinic including recruitment, payroll, orientation, scheduling, billing, program evaluation metrics, professional development and shadowing, electronic medical records, privacy, workplace health and safety,recognitionand performance management
- Lead the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of innovative programs and services, in close collaboration with theprogrammedical lead or physician champion
- Establish action plans to support achievement of strategic priorities, includingobjectivesand measures
- Ensure high quality program service delivery through monitoring, evaluationmeasuresand quality improvement initiatives
- Promote new program service delivery successes,learningsand opportunities with internal and external partners
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners (Alberta Health Services, other PCNs, community stakeholders) tomaintainrelationships,suOpportinnovative partnerships, coordination of care and program alignment
- Ensureaccurateand appropriatefinancial managementand adherence toallocatedbudget

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in health care field
- Active professional license (such as Occupational Therapist, Registered Dietitian, Registered Nurse, Pharmacist) preferred
- Minimum two yearspreviousmanagement or leadership experience
- Experience in primary care preferred
- Minimum five years of health care-related experience
- This role will require the individual to periodically beon-call
