About the Department

The Franklin Innovation Research, Strategies and Technologies (FIRST) team serves as Franklin Templeton's hub for innovation, helping the firm identify, develop, and advance opportunities at the intersection of investment management and emerging technologies. The team plays a key role in shaping the firm's digital assets strategy and bringing innovative solutions to market, while fostering collaboration across business, investment, and technology functions. Through thought leadership, strategic initiatives, and experimentation with next-generation technologies, FIRST helps position Franklin Templeton at the forefront of the evolving financial services landscape.

Role Summary

The Program Manager, Digital Audience Engagement will support key initiatives that promote Franklin Templeton's innovation and digital assets programs across B2B, B2B2C, and Direct to Wallet Audiences. Working cross-functionally with strategy, product, sales, finance, investment teams, and the broader business in a lean, start-up-like environment, the incumbent will have exposure to a variety of creative, operational, and strategic tasks within the FIRST team including:
  • Audience communication and digital engagement programs
  • Creative content, storytelling and campaign development
  • Project planning and timelines
  • Agency and 3rd party vendor relations
  • Owned channel management, including web/micro sites, social media...etc.
  • Support for executive social media and PR/media relations
  • New channel/platform research and analysis
  • Programs that leverage AI to automate, streamline and improve the quality of deliverables across the emerging solutions content team
  • Other operational tasks, including compliance submissions, program performance metrics and analytics


This is a hands-on role that will drive business outcomes through a fresh approach to audience engagement, supporting campaigns and creative content that leverage emerging channels and technology to highlight our innovative work across fintech, digital assets, blockchain and future-forward thought leadership. We're looking for an entrepreneurial communicator and a strong writer that seeks room to grow in their career, and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to tackle a wide variety of functions for the FIRST businesses and functions globally. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of key trends across web3, blockchain, digital assets, and AI, along with demonstrated interest in next-gen audiences.

How You Will Add Value

  • Learn, master and manage a wide variety of digital engagement technologies and channels to enable a growing global function within Franklin Templeton
  • Support the development, deployment and delivery of various cross-channel communication and digital engagement campaigns across key audiences, globally
  • Partner with various internal shared services teams and external vendors to develop and deliver innovative content and experiences
  • Support all aspects of FIRST website and social media publishing, managing day-to-day changes and updates, as well as community management
  • Manage compliance submissions and global approvals tracking to ensure all materials are in line with relevant regulations, and record keeping is up to date
  • Oversee briefing, tagging and reporting process for all FIRST engagement and communications analytics across traditional and digital channels
  • Analyze a wide range of data to identify what is working, what is not, and how to optimize resources
  • Track budgets, financial reporting and manage vendor invoices
  • Maintain an outside-in mindset, bringing best practices from our industry and beyond to the table at Franklin Templeton to help improve our engagement across B2B and D2C audiences
  • Serve as an available consultant, where needed, to internal teams and external client partners on effective audience engagement trends and tactical approaches/processes


What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, liberal arts, marketing, journalism, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of digital engagement or agency experience.
  • Experience managing digital engagement activities across multiple functions.
  • Experience deploying cross-channel engagement programs.
  • Experience with digital, mobile, social, earned, and emerging channels.
  • Strong writing and digital content creation skills.
  • Proficiency with emerging artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency with workplace productivity tools.
  • Experience in regulated industries preferred.

This is a hybrid role that can be based out of New York City (NY), Short Hills (NJ), Baltimore (MD), Stamford (CT), or Boston (MA).

We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $105,000 - $136,000, depending on location and level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
