Position Overview:
Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, is looking to hire a Deputy Program Manager to support the execution of a large, complex DoD program. In this role, you will act on behalf of the Program Manager as required, coordinating day to day execution across engineering, logistics, procurement, finance, and operations while serving as a consistent, proactive point of contact for government customers.

Success in this position depends on leading through influence across functional teams, identifying risks before they reach the customer, and owning day to day execution. As the Deputy Program Manager you are expected to represent the Program Manager with both customers and executive leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Deputy Program Manager supporting execution of a large, complex DoD program, acting on behalf of the Program Manager as required.
  • Define and document program scope, objectives, deliverables, and functional requirements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and business partners.
  • Coordinate day-to-day program execution across engineering, logistics, procurement, finance, and operations teams to confirm priorities are aligned, work is executed efficiently, and program objectives are achieved.
  • Build strong relationships with government customers and internal stakeholders through consistent, proactive communication.
  • Demonstrate ownership by identifying issues early, driving resolution, and following through to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Ensure program documentation, deliverables, and contractual requirements are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Exercise sound judgment in prioritizing competing requirements while balancing customer expectations, contractual obligations, and business objectives.
  • Understand, track, and articulate issue and risk items; work with responsible owners to address the items on a timely basis; update the appropriate stakeholders and clients as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program efficiency, processes, reporting, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare customer-facing presentations, contract deliverables, monthly program reviews, and executive briefings.
  • Perform other relevant duties, as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • 6+ years of combined education and professional experience in program management, project management, or a related field, with demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs, customers, or operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing and internal communication skills to lead discussions with various stakeholders.
  • Proven organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • PMP certification or the ability to obtain certification (SealingTech will sponsor certification).
  • Must be willing and able to work from the office and customer sites as business needs dictate. This position is generally on site two days per week in Columbia, MD, though on site presence may vary week to week based on program priorities, customer engagements, and team collaboration requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with KubeVirt or managing VM-based workloads within Kubernetes.
  • Experience leading or managing a team of engineers.
  • Experience with CPFF and FFP contracts.
  • Experience with JIRA.
