Description:Reporting to the Senior Director, Diagnostic Imaging, Pharmacy Services and Antimicrobial Stewardship, the Program Manager, Pharmacy Services has accountability for the ongoing operation of the pharmacy department at assigned site(s) and is responsible for participating in strategic planning, identifying budget requirements (human, material and capital resources) to safely meet patients' needs, managing expenditures and variance analysis, direct supervision and scheduling of professional and ancillary staff, creating and sustaining healthy work environments including resolving occupational health, safety and wellness (OHS&W) issues, maintaining collaborative working relationships with other services and facilitating the implementation of changes to structure and processes in order to accomplish improved outcomes in customer satisfaction, quality of care and cost containment. Required Qualifications: Baccalaureate Degree in Pharmacy required Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.
Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum 5 years recent experience in a hospital pharmacy required. Must have at least three years previous leadership experience including direct supervision. Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint in a Windows environment required.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated managerial competencies that include excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, problem solving, conflict resolution, analytical thinking, interpersonal and group management skills, change management, organization and project management skills. Familiarity with hospital pharmacy software and electronic medical record system an asset. Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
