Full Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Johnson Controls is embarking on a multi-year transformation to change the way it delivers value to its customers. Through transformation, we want to explore, embrace, and adopt new ideas, processes and technologies that will help us 1) integrate our operations, providing one face to the customer; 2) improve our customers’ satisfaction with our installation and service delivery and 3) become a dynamic, exciting place to work for our employees. We need change leaders with strategic vision to help us realize these goals.

The Program Manager, Sales Operations & Commercial Transformation Process, and Tool Design for BSNA will be responsible for supporting the strategic design and program management for one of the key transformation programs of the Business ERP Transformation organization.  Reporting to the Director, this role will assist in the creation of the overall end to end customer strategy from opportunity creation to cash collection, new technologies, tools and the processes for BSNA success, and will own execution of those strategies, technologies and processes into all domains. Supporting change management across the organization in support of Transformation will also be critical aspect of this role. Desired outcomes include an improved customer experience, an improved employee experience and positive ROI for the organization.

  • Execute long term and short term plans involving strategy development, resource allocation, work plans, timelines, and financial outcomes for the commercial sales operations business transformation program for BSNA.

  • Provide input into and support for the Director in developing cross-domain strategies and program roadmap.

  • Provide anticipatory feedback to Director regarding pain points, inefficiencies, opportunities, change management requirements and any unmet business needs in existing operations.

  • Own the seamless execution of implemented programs to the business upon completion of each phase of transformation.

  • Drives standardization, simplicity, and harmonization of processes

  • Partner with Business/Finance and IT owners to identify opportunities to align approaches, share feedback and recommend improvements.

  • Partner with Project Manager to drive the development team to build detailed user stories and estimate efforts

  • Supports the design, build, and test activities of the application including integration to boundary systems

  • Acts as the key point of contact and stays continuously engaged with Learning & Development, Communications and Change Management to define training deliverables

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in one or more of the following functions: sales, sales operations, digital sales, commercial transformation, field operations, project management

  • Experience executing program initiatives which align with business goals and budget.

  • Experience in identifying and assessing moderately complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

  • Experience in effectively supporting change within a team, function or area.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, OneNote, PowerPoint, Power BI and SharePoint).

  • Experience in HVAC, FIRE or SECURITY industry.

  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

  • Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic and dynamic environment, dedication to teamwork, a strong work initiative, and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas.

  • Interest or previous experience in transformational change, post-merger integration, project management office and/or operational excellence.

  • Experience communicating business initiatives in a clear and concise manner to multiple types of audiences and channels.
