Full Job Description
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide strategic leadership for the design, implementation, and advancement of a multidisciplinary research program, establishing priorities, objectives, and long-term program development initiatives.
  • Partner with the Director, research fellows, and program leadershipto drive execution of research objectives, oversee project planning, enrollment strategies, workflow management, and the development of program standards and operational policies.
  • Lead the preparation and development of scholarly and scientific deliverables, including research manuscripts, grant proposals, presentations, publications, and other materials supporting the program9s research agenda.
  • Direct and oversee research operations and program activities, ensuring compliance with research protocols, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and institutional policies.
  • Serve as a key resource in research administration, facilitating grant submissions, philanthropic funding initiatives, reporting requirements, and sponsor relations.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnershipswith national and international academic, clinical, and research institutions to enhance program visibility, collaboration, and impact.
  • Develop and implement innovative processes, procedures, and infrastructurethat support research growth, operational excellence, and program sustainability.
  • Lead program assessments, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives, including coordination of external reviews, regulatory audits, and consultant engagements as needed.
  • Oversee the development and strategic management of the program9s digital presence, including website content, research dissemination, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Plan and direct conferences, symposia, strategic planning retreats, and other high-profile program events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and research priorities.
  • Drive program growth and scalabilitythrough process optimization, resource planning, operational redesign, and the implementation of best practices to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and organizational capacity.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision-making authorityin managing program priorities, resolving operational challenges, and recommending strategic initiatives to support the evolving needs of the research enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master9s degree in science-related field and 5+ years of related experience required. Extensive understanding of regulatory coordination of protocols oversight and IRB guidelines and process for managing robust clinical research program.

  • Assumes responsibility to ensure issues/concerns will be addressed and monitors them through conclusion;
  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite and; adept at learning new software programs
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; Strong analytical skills;
  • Effective time and resource management
  • Able to draw upon own experiential background to help with program design and development, including Needs Assessment and Program Evaluation
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with faculty, students and staff
  • Ability to manage a fluctuating workflow and delegate tasks as appropriate
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with a large group of diverse individuals. Strong organizational abilities required
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and ability to make independent decisions and effectively communicate decisions and rationale to Principal Investigators;
  • Demonstrated ability to balance workload for a number of Principal Investigators with multiple grants, protocols and clinical contracts
