Standard Job Description

The 1LMX Saber 2.0 Program Manager will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical execution of Saber 2.0. Responsibilities include coordinating the preparation of proposals, project plans, requirements, budgets, and ground rules and assumptions. The role will be the key program lead, establishing the overall program plan and organizational structure, ensuring the program is executable and able deliver what was proposed. The PM will be primary POC for Saber 2.0 program activities, leading program review sessions with the customer and leadership at all levels to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. The Program Manager will will establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and obtain solutions to issues such as allocation of resources or changing specifications. This role will als be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Key Responsiblities:
  • Work with customers to define future modification and sustainment roadmaps to meet 1LMX goals
  • Oversee Requirements Development, Interpretation and configuration evolution to ensure each individual program capabilities are responsive to end users and executable at acceptable risk within cost and schedule
  • Drive Earned Value Management requirements and ensure business processes are followed with respect to both FMS and DCS programs
  • Drive the Risk and Opportunity Management process into every facet of all programs
  • Ensure on-schedule availability of assets and licenses required to execute programs
  • Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of program
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operating budgets
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to align resources necessary for successful program execution
  • Acs as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program reviews with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Demonstrate leadership, cultural awareness, and change management skills


Basic Qualifications

  • Extensive background in Program Management or Engineering Project Management
  • Exceptional cross-functional team-building skills and stakeholder alignment
  • Experience briefing project/program status at various levels
  • Working knowledge of program cost/scheduling tools
  • Previous CAM experience or working knowledge of Earned Value Management
  • Knowledge of Risk & Opportunity Management processes and techniques
  • Understanding of program execution and how program performance impacts business operations


Desired Skills

  • Engineering, technical or business related degree
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems, Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
  • Experience working with Siemens Xcelerator platform a plus\Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Experience managing and allocating resources to meet contractual commitments, milestones, and budgets
  • Experience leading geographically diverse teams
  • Proposal development experience


Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $148300.00 - $275500.00

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, Paid time off, Holidays, Parental Leave, EAP, Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.
  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
