Full Job Description
About the Role

Pursuit is seeking a Program Experience Manager to own the day-to-day quality of the Builder experience and the volunteer ecosystem that powers it. This role sits at the center of program operations - running the events, recruiting and managing the people (volunteers, mentors, fireside speakers) who show up for Builders, and making sure that engagement translates into deeper relationships with Pursuit, including as future donors or employers.

Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Program Experience Manager will be the connective tissue between Builders, volunteers, and the broader Pursuit community - responsible for making every touchpoint (a Demo Day, a launch event, a potluck, an interview day) feel well-run and worth showing up to.
As the Program Experience Manager you will:
  • Own and continuously improve the program experience calendar: Demo Days, launch events, interview days, and community events like potlucks
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage volunteers, mentors, and fireside speakers - building a reliable pipeline and a strong retention experience
  • Set up and manage Capstone projects each quarter, working with volunteers and staff to ensure high-quality project selections
  • Build relationships with volunteers and mentors that create pathways to deeper engagement - including conversion into donors or employer partners
  • Gather and act on feedback from Builders, staff, and volunteers to keep improving program quality
  • Manage logistics, communications, and follow-through for all program experience events
What you need to be considered for the Program Experience Manager role:
  • 3-5 years of experience in program management, community management, event operations, or volunteer management
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple concurrent events and relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - comfortable building relationships with volunteers, employers, and Builders alike
  • Experience recruiting, managing, or engaging volunteers or a similar community of stakeholders
  • A track record of translating engagement into measurable outcomes (retention, conversion, satisfaction)
  • Experience with or interest in working directly with adults from underserved communities. Someone who views differences between individuals (race, gender, age, cultural heritage, physical ability, education, and lifestyle) as an asset and demonstrates an appreciation of the diversity within the Pursuit community
Where you'll work:

You will work full-time from our Long Island City office, with some work-from-home flexibility as needed.
Salary & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $100,000-$110,000 annually.

The compensation range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.

Pursuit offers:
  • Great culture where transparency, respect, teamwork, and kindness are valued
  • Competitive compensation in base, plus bonus and a full benefits package
  • 401k Match
  • Unlimited PTO and an all-Pursuit summer break the last week of August and a week-long holiday the last week of December
  • Flexible, hybrid work schedule with catered lunches once a week and delicious snacks
  • An opportunity to work at the intersection of tech and social impact, and make a direct impact on the communities of those we serve.
