Job Description:

The Security Program Director will lead a strategic transformation initiative with several interdependent components and involving numerous business, technology, and external partners. The incumbent will operate in a complex environment requiring strong mobilization, issues management, and influence skills with high-level stakeholders. They will be responsible for ensuring rigorous governance, maintaining alignment among the various stakeholders, and securing the achievement of business objectives within a context of high visibility to decision-making bodies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop the program plan, taking into account the issues, complexity, stakeholders, and alignment with other programs/projects, while ensuring consistency with the sponsor's vision and business objectives.
  • In collaboration with the various project managers and contribution leads, be responsible for delivering expected results and realizing business benefits, in compliance with agreed-upon terms, costs, and timelines. Provide guidance and coordination to multiple project managers and contributors involved in program delivery to maintain an integrated view of the work, dependencies, and risks.
  • Perform functional supervision and coordination of internal and external contributors involved in program delivery.
  • Manage strategic partners and suppliers and monitor their performance.
  • Develop risk, impact, and mitigation strategies, taking into account the organizational, technological, human, and operational dimensions of the program.
  • Proactively manage strategic, organizational, and governance issues and recommend appropriate solutions to decision-making bodies.
  • Be responsible for the single reporting line and program progress status to the sponsor, steering committee, and other decision-making bodies.
  • Provide advisory and influencing support to management and senior leadership to facilitate decision-making and the achievement of program objectives. The role involves managing a large initiative or several complex initiatives simultaneously, with project managers under their supervision.
  • Residence in the Montreal office is required as needed for the project.
  • Regular participation in management committees and major decision-making bodies is expected.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • We are seeking a seasoned program leader with a proven track record of leading complex transformations with high executive visibility, demonstrating the ability to mobilize stakeholders, exert influence, and stabilize strategic initiatives.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience managing large-scale strategic projects, programs, or transformations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and organizational challenges.
  • Experience leading project managers and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Significant experience managing suppliers and strategic partners.
  • Experience in high-level executive environments requiring high-level stakeholder management.
  • Experience in turning around, stabilizing, or repositioning complex programs is a significant asset.
  • Experience with large-scale agile initiatives in large organizations.
  • Experience with strategically complex programs representing annual investments of over $20 million.
  • PMP certification required.
  • SAFe certification is an asset.
  • PgMP, MSP, or equivalent certification is a major asset. Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
