Job Title & Specialty Area: Program Director IS - (Epic Release Manager)Department: IT Core Clinical ApplicationsLocation: Dallas, TXShift: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PMJob Type: Remote Summary:The IS Program Director is responsible for owning the overall assigned program or programs, from shaping the approach to achieving the desired outcomes through delivery. This position involves coordinating projects and resource management within the program, communicates with stakeholder, project sponsors, and provides reporting.
Epic Environment Release Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing the deployment of software updates, patches, and new releases within multiple Epic Systems environments. The role involves close collaboration with technical teams, project managers, and end users to maintain system reliability and compliance. Epic Environment Release Managers also develops release schedules, document processes, and troubleshoot any issues arising during or after releases.
Responsibilities:- Champions program(s) goals and objectives across the organization. Mobilizes others within and outside the program to support and enable change efforts within individual initiatives/projects, while fostering commitment, team spirit, and trust.
- Allocates team roles and accountabilities and manages conflict swiftly toward a mutual solution.
- Solicits information on the organization's direction, goals, and strategy to determine how the program can best add value to the organization and its objectives. Makes decisions and recommendations for the program that are clearly linked to the organization's strategy and financial goals, reflecting an awareness of external dynamics. Has the stamina to manage the program over a long-time frame and maintain momentum through implementation. Works to resolves issues at or near the program's boundaries rapidly and in a context-driven manner.
- Develops program plans that meet the architecture/technology needs of the organization and applies external and internal factors to program formulation and development. Considers business priorities, strategies and goals, emerging technologies, industry trends, and economically viable program approaches.
- Sets challenging goals and achieves them. Resolves cross-project dependency issues and problems among the project managers swiftly. Sets appropriate standards for the program. Ensures that results are achieved throughout the program and not only at the end and demonstrates resourcefulness and takes calculated risks to achieve results.
How You'll Be Successful:WORK EXPERIENCE- At least 10 years Knowledge of information technologies including computer hardware, computing systems, data communications, medical instrumentation, monitoring programs, imaging systems, vendor management, standards, policies and procedures, demonstrated experience leading operational management practices and project management. Required
EDUCATION- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Required
- Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Preferred
