The Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a full-time Program Director for the NIH-funded StrokeNet National Coordinating Center (NCC). The NIH StrokeNet is a national research network for phase II and III clinical trials that was created to advance acute stroke treatment, stroke prevention, and recovery and rehabilitation. This network of 27 regional centers across the U.S., which involves approximately 500 hospitals in the U.S., is designed to serve as the infrastructure and pipeline for exciting new potential treatments for patients with stroke and those at risk for stroke.

As the Program Director at the NCC, the candidate will facilitate several projects and administrative processes for this unique network. The Program Director will work directly with NCC leadership and network investigators across the country. The appropriate candidate should have extensive program management experience, with preferred experience in research programs. This is a fully remote position.

Essential Functions

• Manage NIH StrokeNet NCC administrative processes.
• Plan and schedule meetings; prepare agendas; disseminate information; coordinate groups within the network.
• Support project teams within the network such as cores and advisory committees.
• Communicate critical information to key network personnel.
• Develop and write program materials, address inquiries, provide information and maintain records.
• Work with NCC and other NIH StrokeNet leadership to support and organize new network trial proposals.
• Oversee budget components, approve and monitor expenditures and prepare financial reports.
• Act as a liaison with internal personnel, external entities and other organizations.
• Support the network to develop, refine and achieve goals/initiatives; monitor and report on progress.
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree
• Eight (8) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Trainings/Certifications

• N/A

Required Experience

• Four (4) years of experience in program development or business administration.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
