Division: Vancouver Radio - Rock 101 and CFOX

Work Status: Full Time

Location: Vancouver, BC (On-site)

About the Role:

We're excited to announce an opportunity for a Program Director to lead two of Vancouver's most iconic stations - Rock 101 and CFOX.

This role offers the chance to work with top talent and drive the dynamic, collaborative culture that defines these stations.

You will contribute by:

  • Lead the Programming Department for Rock 101 and CFOX.
  • Effectively manage and coach heritage talent.
  • Drive ratings growth for both stations through strategic leadership.
  • Foster and maintain a positive, station collaborative culture.
  • Fearlessly develop and execute detailed strategic and operational plans.
  • Set and uphold high performance standards.
  • Mentor and develop both seasoned talent and emerging stars.
  • Collaborate with corporate and radio division teams to implement broad strategic initiatives at both market and station levels.
  • Play a pivotal role in developing and executing revenue-generating programming and integrated offerings.
  • Manage general administration, HR matters, and budget oversight.
  • Contribute as a key member of the senior management team.


Skills and experience you bring:

  • Post-secondary education in radio broadcasting, broadcast communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in radio operations; on-air experience is an asset.
  • Proven ability to coach and direct on-air talent both individually and as part of a team.
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to share ideas across Corus Programming platforms.
  • Demonstrated understanding of multi-platform branding (on-air, online, on-site).
  • Experience in successfully managing the programming department of a radio station.
  • Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced, continuously evolving industry.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with key stakeholders and partners.
  • History of leveraging programming to drive revenue.
  • Must possess strong leadership qualities, including candor, openness, integrity, respect, trust, and innovative thinking.
