CLASS TITLE: PROGRAM DIRECTOR, COMMUNITY SUPPORT SYSTEMS
BASIC FUNCTION:Under the direction of an assigned administrator(s), collaborate, coordinate, facilitate, and support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional learning needs of students within the community; facilitate the integration of site, district, county, and state resources for a family centered, equity driven hub, strengthened by community partnerships and wrap-around services. Support the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of program activities, including technical assistance and integrated systems of support.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Plan, organize, and implement professional development and technical assistance related to community schools and systems of support related to the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students (i.e., Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, etc.).
Provide technical expertise, information, and assistance to school districts, divisions within Madera County Superintendent of Schools (MCSOS), administrators, and others regarding community schools and integrated systems of support.
Meet and work collaboratively with district, school, and appropriate district, county, and state educational representatives, including representatives from other state and local agencies; support planning efforts for student achievement and mental wellness.
Attend meetings at the local, state, and regional levels; organize and implement methods of dissemination for county and district audiences.
Participate in the planning and delivery of integrated support to schools and districts; conduct needs assessments, analyze data, and gather community partner input regarding community schools.
Prepare and maintain program records and reports.
Provide oversight and coordination of school and community-based services and service providers.
Coordinate linkage of identified students and families to appropriate programs, activities, and services.
Research and identify programs and funding to support the implementation and sustainability of community schools.
Work collaboratively with members of MCSOS and external partners to plan, design, and implement professional development to address identified needs of teachers, administrators, and community partners.
Assist in the writing, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of grants and projects.
Develop and maintain active liaison relationships with school districts, MCSOS staff, school site administration, community partners, and other clients to provide support services related to assigned program(s); coordinate work with other state and regional programs and agencies, networks, and alliances as needed to implement program requirements.
Attend and conduct a variety of meetings as assigned.
Coordinate effective implementation of local, state, and/or federal initiatives for MCSOS and school districts in Madera County.
Work effectively with school districts, teachers, administrators, community organizations, and parents to support student achievement and wellness.
Prepare and maintain a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, and files related to assigned activities and personnel.
Serve as a technical resource for community schools and integrated student supports; provide detailed and technical information to districts, schools, and external partners.
Research, compile, assemble, and evaluate a variety of technical information related to assigned area(s).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Any combination equivalent to: Master's Degree in education or related field and three years successful administrative experience at a school, district, or county level.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Valid Administrative Services Credential.
Valid Teaching or Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license. Incumbents must be insurable by the liability carrier for the Madera County Superintendent of Schools.

Office environment and offsite locations for training and presentations.
Driving a vehicle to conduct work.

Stamina to perform multiple assignments and tasks with many interruptions and deadlines while under a variety of circumstances including critical, intense, or urgent situations.
